It’s been a bit more than a week since @theeurodistrict , and I’m almost back to normal.⠀
As always, it was an incredible time — catching up with friends, relaxing, drooling over weird and wonderful cars, and somehow finding new corners of fun in Jeffersonville.

Huge thanks to @dinaheurotrash and Brad for putting together another fantastic show. It really is one of the best weekends of the year.

This one escalated quickly for me.

The plan started simple: get the Rallye that @xjamiexoe imported for me back in 2000 sorted so @longballrally and I could park our black, Rallye-fronted Mk2s side by side. Of course, that “simple” plan turned into a full-on rabbit hole — complete cooling system overhaul, bits of bodywork, interior redo, last-minute headliner reglue, customizing a @blackforestindustries knob, rebuilt door guts, @sdg.industries pulls, @davies.motorsport.engineering handles, a fixed sunroof (built from 3 different Mk2s), and dialing in the MOMO R3s just in time.

A lot of late nights, and a lot of help from friends — especially @longballrally and @plzsgnl . The car drove beautifully, and somehow ended up in the Top 10, which I’m still wrapping my head around.

I always love bringing the oddballs — the rare, the obscure, the “I never thought I’d see one of those” kind of cars — and sharing them with people. That’s the real joy for me: connecting over the strange corners of VW history.

So when I had the chance to bring two oddballs this year, I couldn’t resist.

At @loeshowofficial I met @golfplatz123 and his unbelievably clean 400k+ km Fire & Ice — already subtly tweaked by @retrowheelz_ — and for sale — and, well… it had to come home. Two weeks later, with a ton of help from @golfplatz123 , @johnhazel , @dieselyota , and @captainsaveadub , it was in my garage and ready to roll.

@plzsgnl drove it down for me, and it was awesome to share another piece of the weird Mk2 puzzle with everyone.

Also: big thanks to @motterxxxdesign for the batch of custom stickers so people can find me on here.

Everything’s home now, and I’m already scheming up new ways to keep sharing the strange and wonderful.

The weirds aren’t done yet.
